Modified Atwater ME Calculation
A free tool that automatically calculates metabolizable energy (ME) based on the Modified Atwater equation—an approach officially adopted by AAFCO. Simply enter the basic nutrient composition of your pet food to generate an ME estimate.
NRC 2006 (CF) ME Calculation
To predict ME more accurately than Modified Atwater, NRC proposes a four-step calculation method. This method adjusts digestibility based on crude fiber content and applies different urinary energy corrections for dogs and cats.
